Role Overview
The Senior Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for managing project budgets, tracking costs, preparing forecasts, and producing financial reports for high-value villa and building projects in Al Jurf. The role is designed to keep project finances tightly controlled, highlight risks early, and ensure that cost performance remains aligned with schedule progress throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Build detailed project budgets and cost breakdown structures.
- Track spending, committed amounts, and cost-to-complete projections.
- Spot cost deviations early and maintain strong control processes.
- Prepare monthly cost statements, dashboards, and cash flow forecasts.
- Review trends in project costs and flag possible overruns in advance.
- Assess variations, change orders, and subcontractor claims.
- Examine subcontractor quotations, proposals, and payment submissions.
- Confirm that procurement commitments stay within approved budgets.
- Keep cost records, coding structures, and ERP updates accurate and current.
- Work with planning teams to align financial forecasts with project timelines.
- Check progress information and cost data with site teams.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a similar discipline.
- 12 to 15 years of experience in construction cost control, with UAE experience preferred.
- Background in luxury villa and high-rise building projects.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control methods.
- Hands-on experience with ERP platforms, MS Excel, and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 is beneficial.
- Strong analytical ability along with good communication and coordination skills.
