Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site Scrum Master position based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. The role is responsible for guiding Agile delivery teams, running Scrum ceremonies, and helping the organization maintain strong Scrum discipline while continuously improving how work is delivered.
Key Responsibilities
The Scrum Master will coordinate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. The role includes supporting product owners with user story refinement and prioritization, clearing blockers that slow the team, encouraging continuous improvement, and helping the team stay aligned with delivery commitments and business priorities.
Additional responsibilities include coaching team members on Agile methods, working closely with software development and business stakeholders, monitoring sprint metrics, identifying delivery risks, and promoting open communication across teams and departments.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Applicants should bring hands-on experience in facilitating Agile and Scrum practices, especially sprint planning and other Scrum ceremonies. A strong grasp of analytical thinking is needed to review metrics, spot impediments, and improve team effectiveness. Excellent communication skills are important for collaboration with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
Candidates should also have experience working with user stories, backlog refinement, and defining acceptance criteria, along with a solid understanding of software development processes in an Agile environment. Prior work as a Scrum Master or Agile Team Coach is preferred, particularly within insurance, financial services, or a similar industry. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is expected. Scrum certification such as CSM, PSM, or a comparable credential is preferred. The role requires the ability to work collaboratively on-site in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area and support multiple cross-functional teams.
