Its mission is to close the connectivity divide for billions of mobile users who still lack reliable broadband access.

Role Overview

The Scheduling Senior Manager will own enterprise-level production scheduling for large-scale manufacturing across multiple sites. This position is responsible for shaping scheduling strategy, working closely with Planning, releasing production orders, and keeping schedules aligned with available materials, manufacturing capacity, and actual shop-floor execution.

This leader will help improve production flow, remove bottlenecks, balance resources, and strengthen schedule adherence across a complex manufacturing environment. The role partners with Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to help achieve demanding production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct production scheduling operations across the company’s manufacturing sites.
  • Work with Production Planning to build and sustain integrated schedules that support demand forecasts.
  • Oversee production order scheduling, including prioritization, release sequencing, schedule updates, and execution monitoring.
  • Create and maintain master schedules that account for capacity, materials, labor, and business priorities.
  • Coordinate day-to-day scheduling to ensure work orders are released and executed on time.
  • Track schedule performance and identify conflicts, constraints, and bottlenecks that affect throughput.
  • Align schedules with Supply Chain and Procurement so material arrivals match production timing.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to improve sequencing and operational efficiency.
  • Set scheduling standards and processes that improve flow, lower downtime, and increase output.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts tied to scheduling efficiency, throughput, capacity planning, and execution performance.
  • Monitor KPIs such as schedule attainment, throughput, resource use, backlog, and cycle time.
  • Handle escalations involving schedule disruption, shortages, engineering changes, and operational delays.
  • Support long-term capacity planning and production ramp-up efforts as demand grows.
  • Manage and develop scheduling staff while building a scalable scheduling framework for future growth.

Qualifications

Education and background

  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Equivalent education combined with relevant manufacturing scheduling experience may also be accepted.

  • Strong exposure to integrated production planning and scheduling systems in complex operations.
  • Experience coordinating across planning, production, supply chain, and engineering functions.
  • Proven ability to improve schedules and manufacturing throughput.

Preferred background

  • Experience in aerospace, satellite manufacturing, automotive, electronics manufacturing, or similar advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of MRP, production control systems, and shop-floor scheduling.
  • Experience managing complex multi-stage schedules in engineering-driven production settings.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, or similar improvement methods.
  • Experience supporting rapid scaling in high-growth manufacturing organizations.
  • Understanding of engineering change management and its effect on scheduling.

Soft skills and working approach

  • Strong leadership and people-management ability.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
