Role overview
This is a chance to join a medium-sized, progressive training practice that is in the middle of an important growth and improvement phase. The role involves working alongside an accomplished GP leader who is guiding a substantial turnaround and expansion plan. It offers room to build your clinical, operational, and professional experience in a setting that goes beyond what many conventional practices can provide.
You will be part of a supportive and adaptable team committed to excellent patient care, while helping refine systems, cut down avoidable GP workload, and build a more sustainable primary care model for the long term.
Practice details
Location: Oxfordshire.
- Medium-sized training practice based in a modern, purpose-built health centre
- The largest practice in the PCN, with considerable potential for future expansion
- Stable, broadly affluent patient base with a wide range of clinical presentations
- Large multidisciplinary workforce including ANPs, paramedics, pharmacists, nurses, and HCAs
- Strong focus on removing low-value administrative work from GPs
- 15-minute appointments with emphasis on complex clinical work
- Well-established same-day access system
- Buddy-supported duty structure to reduce admin pressure
- Single-site practice using EMIS and Docman
- Opportunities to contribute to teaching and future research development
- Collaborative environment with close support from senior GPs
What the role involves
- Working as a Salaried GP
- Availability for 4 to 8 sessions
- Flexible session pattern with longer-than-average appointments
- Combination of face-to-face consultations, telephone work, and triage
- Very limited home visiting responsibilities
- Close involvement with an experienced GP leader during a major change programme
- Best suited to a resilient, practical GP who enjoys a fast-moving setting
- Newly qualified GPs and Tier 2 Visa candidates will be considered
- Potential for progression in the future
Pay and benefits
- £10,500 to £12,000 per session, based on experience
- Indemnity fees covered
- BMA model contract
- 6 weeks of annual leave plus Bank Holidays
- 1 week of study leave

Eligibility and requirements
You must be a qualified General Practitioner and registered with both the GMC and the UK performers list.
