Role Overview

eToro is hiring a strategic and highly analytical Risk and Compliance Officer to manage the local risk framework for its ADGM entity. This position is designed for a risk-led professional who understands that effective compliance starts with strong risk management. It is a registered Risk Officer role with the FSRA, and it also includes Data Protection Officer responsibilities to support full regulatory adherence.

Risk Management and Strategy

• Take ownership of the local risk register and lead the identification, assessment, prioritization, mitigation, and reporting of internal and external risks affecting the ADGM entity.
• Develop and apply local risk controls and mitigation plans that work in line with eToro’s wider global risk management approach.
• Track risk processes on an ongoing basis and use data-backed insights to improve operational resilience and business efficiency.
• Serve as the main contact for all regulator-required risk submissions, giving senior leadership and the Board a clear understanding of the local risk position and appetite.
• Work closely with Trading, Product, and Marketing teams to embed risk-aware decision-making into the product lifecycle.

Compliance and Governance

• Ensure policies, procedures, and controls comply with ADGM and FSRA expectations, especially around product governance and market conduct.
• Run periodic audits and monitoring activities to uncover and address compliance issues or process weaknesses.
• Review local promotional and marketing activity through a risk-based lens to support accuracy, transparency, and regulatory safety.

Data Protection Responsibilities

• Act as the registered Data Protection Officer for the entity and help ensure compliance with ADGM Data Protection Regulations.
• Oversee data security safeguards and carry out regular privacy impact assessments to reduce the likelihood and impact of data breaches.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or another quantitative discipline closely related to the role.
• At least 5 to 6 years of experience in risk management, specifically within financial services or fintech.
• Strong familiarity with the ADGM and FSRA regulatory environment, including risk and prudential requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and turn it into practical risk reporting.
• Professional certifications such as PRM, FRM, or CRMP are strongly preferred; ACAMS or ICA qualifications are an added advantage.
• A self-driven approach with the ability to build frameworks from the ground up in a fast-moving, Nasdaq-listed business.
