Retail Excellence Manager

Role overview

We are hiring a Retail Excellence Manager for a major consumer health business to help drive how its brands perform at the shelf across Germany. This position sits within the Commercial Strategy & Execution function and is responsible for turning commercial plans into strong, consistent in-store delivery.

The role is centered on building Perfect Store execution, so the brands show up in a disciplined, effective, and competitive way across the main retail channels. You will connect strategy with frontline execution and help ensure annual and quarterly priorities become practical actions that produce measurable outcomes.

What you will do

You will work alongside Sales, Category, and Commercial Strategy colleagues to keep plans aligned and execution tight across the market. Your contribution will shape both in-store performance and the customer experience at shelf.

• Design and roll out Perfect Store standards for mass market channels.
• Convert commercial priorities into clear execution plans for the market.
• Improve point-of-sale delivery across key customers and retail partners.
• Build and manage measurement frameworks for retail execution, including Perfect Store and DVRP.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Category, and CS&E teams to maintain alignment.
• Create effective selling materials for important commercial planning cycles.
• Use data and market insights to spot opportunities for better in-store results.
• Help strengthen customer development and retail excellence capabilities overall.

Profile we are looking for

The ideal candidate brings substantial experience in FMCG or consumer health, along with a strong foundation in trade marketing, shopper marketing, sales, or retail excellence. You should be comfortable turning insights into practical execution strategies and working in a highly analytical, data-led environment.

Success in this role also requires strong stakeholder management across functions, plus fluency in both German and English.
