Role Summary
We are looking for a full-time Restaurant Consultant to work on-site in Chandigarh, India. In this role, you will partner with restaurant owners and management teams to evaluate current operations, spot improvement opportunities, and put forward practical, results-oriented recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Your work will include carrying out operational reviews, assessing menus and pricing, examining food and beverage costs, and advising on layout, workflow, and service quality. You will also create and run training sessions for staff covering service standards, hygiene practices, and product knowledge. In addition, you will support clients with revenue-building initiatives and ways to improve the guest experience, while preparing reports and presentations and monitoring how recommendations are implemented. Collaboration with both internal colleagues and client teams will be part of ensuring plans are executed effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should bring strong consulting ability, including diagnosing business needs, solving problems, and turning findings into clear recommendations. Prior experience in training hospitality or restaurant teams is important, along with the ability to design and deliver engaging sessions. A background in sales within the hospitality or food and beverage sector, especially around revenue improvement and upselling, is also valuable. Practical knowledge of food and beverage operations, menu planning, costing, and service standards is expected.
Additional Requirements
You should have excellent communication and people skills to build credibility with a range of stakeholders. Comfort with basic business analysis, reporting, and presentation tools such as Excel and PowerPoint is needed. The role requires working directly on client sites, handling multiple assignments at once, and adapting to fast-changing operational settings.
Preferred Background
A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience as a restaurant manager, food and beverage manager, or consultant will be an added advantage.
