Role overview

MEDrecord is hiring a remote Scrum Master to guide and support its software development team. In this role, you will act as the main facilitator for Scrum practices, helping the team deliver reliable, high-quality outcomes. The position focuses on planning and protecting timelines, clearing blockers, supporting Agile ways of working, and enabling a self-managed team that stays effective throughout each sprint.

What you will do

Own project scope and schedules and keep work moving against agreed timelines.
Organize sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-up meetings.
Coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices.
Support clear internal communication and smooth collaboration across the team.
Serve as a communication link for external parties such as customers and stakeholders.
Partner with product owners to manage backlogs and incoming requests.
Address conflicts and remove issues that slow the team down.
Support the team through change and help them adopt improvements effectively.
Check that sprint outputs meet quality expectations before delivery.
Help the team grow in Scrum maturity over time.
Create a healthy, productive environment where team members take ownership of the product and enjoy the work.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with prior Scrum Master experience, a solid understanding of software development, and deep familiarity with Scrum tools and practices such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, and backlog refinement. Knowledge of other Agile methods like Crystal and XP is also valuable. Strong communication, servant leadership, organization, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities are essential. A degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field is preferred, and Scrum certification would be an added advantage.

MEDrecord is a remote-first certified eHealth company focused on building software that positively affects people’s lives. The team currently consists of 24 people spread across several EU member states. You will work with skilled colleagues who care about software quality, in small Scrum teams that prioritize strong delivery standards. The company does not expect routine overtime; if deadlines begin to slip, the issue should be raised with management rather than solved through late-night work. Employees are heard, flexible working hours are available, and the environment is designed to be pleasant and respectful of different cultures and traditions. Night work and sleeping during the day are not part of the expected schedule.
