Role Summary

This position is a part-time, on-site Production Coordinator role in New York, NY. The person in this role will manage production from start to finish for seasonal collections and custom orders, keeping timelines moving, samples and bulk orders organized, and deliveries on schedule.

What You'll Do

You will coordinate across pattern makers, graders, cutters, and sewing rooms; arrange fabric and trim sourcing; keep production documentation accurate; monitor quality at each step; and support fittings and issue resolution. You will also work with vendors on schedules and logistics, help improve production workflows, and partner closely with the founder to turn creative concepts into practical, scalable manufacturing plans.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing apparel production, particularly for eveningwear, with responsibility for calendars, workflow tracking, and multiple styles or custom pieces.
• Direct experience working with factories, ateliers, or vendors in the Garment District or similar production environments, including scheduling and follow-up coordination.
• Working knowledge of garment construction, how fabrics behave, especially bridal and evening materials, and basic pattern or technical design concepts.
• Ability to handle production records and documents such as tech packs, spec sheets, bills of materials, and spreadsheet or project management tools.
• Strong quality control skills with attention to fit, finishing, and detail, plus the ability to resolve production problems quickly.
• Highly organized with strong time management and problem-solving ability in a fast-moving, small-team setting.
• Professional communication skills and a collaborative working style with designers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Background in luxury, bridal, or eveningwear production is preferred, and experience with made-to-order or small-batch production is an added advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Production, Fashion Design, or a similar field, or equivalent professional experience in garment production.
