About the company
Optivance Advancements is a Singapore-based venture studio that creates early-stage digital products for a range of industries. The team concentrates on practical use cases and aims to deliver products with strong design quality, usability, and execution.
Role overview
The company is seeking a part-time Product Management Intern to contribute to product direction, shape user problem statements, and help deliver features that make a meaningful difference. The internship is paid, runs in a remote-first format from Singapore, and may include occasional in-person work sessions when required. You will collaborate directly with the founders and engineering team on live product initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Run user research and study the market to uncover customer pain points and opportunities.
- Set product objectives, define success measures, and translate ideas into feature specifications.
- Build and update product roadmaps, backlog items, and prioritization methods.
- Prepare well-structured PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with designers and engineers to scope work, rank priorities, and release new functionality.
- Review product metrics, customer feedback, and experiment outcomes to guide improvements.
- Work with founders and other stakeholders to keep priorities and timelines aligned.
- Record product decisions and share progress updates in a clear way across the team.
- Leverage AI tools where useful to speed up research, planning, documentation, and product ideation.
- Support better execution of product development work.
Candidate profile
Ideal applicants should be enthusiastic about product management, startups, and building user-focused digital products. Experience from internships, academic projects, startups, or personal builds is helpful, especially if you have worked on digital products before. You should be able to simplify complex problems into practical action plans, communicate clearly in writing and speaking, stay organized, take initiative, and juggle several priorities at once. Comfort working with cross-functional teams and a commitment to a part-time arrangement are also important.
Bonus experience
These are advantageous but not mandatory: familiarity with analytics platforms such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics, or PostHog; basic SQL or data analysis knowledge; exposure to startups or fast-moving environments; understanding of AI products, LLMs, voice interfaces, or SaaS products; experience with user interviews, A/B tests, or growth experiments; and foundational knowledge of Agile or Scrum.
