Role overview
Huishan Zhang Ltd is hiring a highly organised, proactive PR & Studio Assistant for its London team. This is a practical, fast-paced role that bridges PR coordination, studio operations and executive support. The position suits someone who enjoys keeping processes smooth in the background and takes pride in maintaining high standards across all details.
You will work closely with the Operations Director and have direct contact with the CEO. The role calls for someone discreet, resourceful and comfortable switching between creative support and operational tasks within the same day. This is a full-time, office-based position, five days per week, in Downham, London.
PR and press support
You will manage the movement of press samples from start to finish, including logging, tracking, sending out and receiving returns. The job also involves speaking with stylists, magazine editors and PR contacts about loan requests and sample availability, while keeping the sample library and press archive current and accurate.
Additional PR duties include helping organise press days, showroom visits and brand events, as well as compiling and monitoring coverage reports and clippings. You will also handle sensitive communications with talent and representatives, making sure any collaborations stay aligned with the brand’s image and values. Drafting press emails, lookbooks and image materials will also be part of the role, with a strong emphasis on maintaining the company’s tone and visual identity.
Studio and shoot assistance
The position includes practical support during shoots and campaign productions, from preparation and dressing through to wrap-up. You will assist the PR Manager with administrative tasks such as call sheets, run-of-show documents, vendor contact lists and booking confirmations.
You will also prepare samples for shoots and appointments, including steaming and garment care, and coordinate with photographers, models, hair and makeup teams and studio hire contacts as needed.
Office and studio operations
Day-to-day studio upkeep is a core part of the job. You will make sure the London studio remains clean, stocked and ready to welcome visitors at all times. This includes ordering and managing office and studio supplies, keeping inventory levels in check and working proactively to avoid shortages.
You will also handle relationships with service providers such as cleaners, couriers and maintenance contractors, and manage incoming and outgoing mail and parcels, including international shipments.
CEO support
Some of the work will involve supporting the CEO directly. This includes preparing the CEO’s London apartment ahead of visits by coordinating cleaning, stocking and any required household arrangements. You will also take care of occasional personal and business errands, always with discretion and efficiency.
Finance and invoicing
You will help ensure PR and office invoices are raised correctly and submitted on time. The role also requires coordination with the finance team to follow up on overdue payments, resolve invoice-related questions and keep records accurate.
In addition, you will track studio and PR spending against budget and escalate any differences to the Operations Director.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience in a fashion, luxury or creative agency environment. Strong organisation, careful attention to detail and the ability to manage several priorities at once are essential.
You should be professional and discreet, especially when working with senior stakeholders. Clear written communication is important, along with an understanding of how to write in a luxury brand voice. Experience handling garments carefully, or steaming and dressing for shoots, would be an advantage. A real interest in fashion and knowledge of the luxury market are also important for success in this role.
