Students typically take part in an intensive, multidisciplinary learning programme lasting two to three years, designed to prepare them for productive adult lives.

Role Summary

This is a part-time, on-site position of 20 hours per week spread across three days. The successful candidate will provide clinical, therapeutic, and practical support focused on seating, mobility, and other interventions for children and young people with complex needs. The work involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a caring and structured environment.

What You Will Do

• Carry out assessments and put in place seating and mobility equipment that meets individual needs.
• Help individuals access assistive technology such as switches and similar devices.
• Plan, deliver, and lead group therapy sessions, including hydrotherapy.
• Prepare clear professional reports and contribute to review meetings and case discussions.
• Work closely with families, carers, and outside professionals to support joined-up care.
• Provide consistently high standards of physical, emotional, and intimate care.
• Keep the environment safe, hygienic, and well maintained.
• Support staff development through training input and ongoing professional learning.
• Take on further duties when needed to support the service.

Candidate Profile

You should have experience supporting people with additional or complex needs, along with strong communication and teamwork skills. A genuine commitment to safeguarding, quality of care, and continuous development is important.

Additional Information

Appointments are subject to enhanced DBS screening. A six-month probationary period will apply. The role may also involve other duties as required. The employer is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young adults, and vulnerable people, and the selected candidate may also need to complete overseas criminal record checks where relevant.
