Role summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Accra for a Personal Shopper (Picker). The role is centered on selecting and packing customer orders accurately from store stock, checking that items are in good condition and match the requested order details. It also includes reviewing product availability, replacing items according to guidelines when needed, and handling goods carefully and efficiently.
What you will do
- Pick items from in-store inventory with a high level of accuracy.
- Pack customer orders so they are complete, correct, and ready for dispatch.
- Check product quality and ensure items match the order specifications.
- Confirm stock availability and suggest permitted substitutions when required.
- Work with store and operations teams to meet tight turnaround times.
- Handle products safely while maintaining speed and efficiency.
- Keep the picking area tidy, organized, and operationally ready.
- Flag stock-related issues and share feedback that can improve processes and customer satisfaction.
What we are looking for
- Good communication and people skills to work smoothly with team members and support a positive customer experience.
- Strong customer service orientation with an emphasis on accuracy, speed, and quality.
- Basic sales understanding to help assess customer preferences and choose suitable substitutions.
- Careful attention to detail, dependability, and consistency in following standard procedures.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift items for long periods in a busy environment.
- Comfort using mobile apps or handheld devices for picking and task updates.
- Experience in retail, supermarkets, warehousing, or last-mile delivery is an added advantage.
- Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, depending on business requirements.
