Role overview
This position is based in Calgary, Alberta, and involves hands-on warehouse and freight handling work within a FedEx Canada facility.
What you will do
- Move freight through the facility by loading and unloading shipments.
- Scan packages and sort freight accurately.
- Support general facility operations as required.
What the role calls for
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian customs rules is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are important.
- You must be able to complete initial and repeat training successfully.
- You should be able to lift up to 70 lbs and move packages weighing as much as 150 lbs using the proper equipment.
- You need to be comfortable working in a PC Windows environment.
- Ability to complete mandatory testing, maintain recurring training, and keep annual accreditations where required.
- Shift schedules may vary based on operational needs.

This role is assigned grade 79. The starting wage is $21.00.

For any role where driving is a core responsibility, candidates must hold a valid driver's license such as Class 5, G, or 1[AZ], and must have a driving record with no more than two violations and/or accidents in the 24 months before applying. Selection may also consider the current driver abstract, interview performance, and any driving competency assessments.
