About Airbnb
Airbnb began in 2007 when two hosts opened their San Francisco home to three guests. Since then, it has grown into a global community of more than 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals across nearly every country. The platform is built around helping people experience communities in a more authentic way through distinctive stays and experiences.
The Team
You will join Airbnb’s Hotels team, a fast-moving and ambitious group that is helping the company expand into the hotel space. The team combines Airbnb’s product-first mindset and guest-focused approach with an entrepreneurial way of working. Its goal is to create an easy, intuitive hotel booking journey for guests while enabling hotels to increase bookings and deliver excellent hospitality.
Role Overview
As a Market Manager for Hotels, you will be responsible for strengthening and growing hotel supply across the DACH and CEE region. Your focus will be on sourcing high-quality inventory, building Airbnb’s presence in your market, and working closely with internal teams to support supply growth and market performance. The role calls for strong local market knowledge, strategic thinking, and the ability to build scalable supply-management approaches for both established and developing markets.
What You Will Do
- Grow and manage partner relationships across your territory and work toward exceeding quarterly hotel sales targets.
- Run regular optimization discussions and business reviews with partners, and provide timely support, including in-person help when required.
- Develop approaches to manage and improve the performance of a large long-tail portfolio of hotels in the region.
- Source and onboard new, high-quality hotel supply within your assigned geography.
- Explain important product changes to clients and share their feedback on product and public policy with the relevant internal teams.
- Use data to uncover growth opportunities, handle operational complexity, and allocate resources effectively.
- Create and execute inventive engagement initiatives that bring an entrepreneurial edge to the territory.
- Partner with product, communications, public policy, legal, tax, and customer support teams to support long-term business success.
- Build strong knowledge of local market trends and share insights with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent Airbnb in meetings with hotels and at industry events within your market.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has a strong background in sales, account management, and partner support, along with the ability to manage pipelines and grow a book of business. You should be comfortable working with data, balancing strategic and hands-on execution, and operating in ambiguous environments. Strong collaboration, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to work confidently across different teams.
Additional Requirements
You must be fluent in both English and German. The role is based in Berlin, and you should be willing to travel internationally to your assigned territory on a regular basis, typically once every 4 to 6 weeks. Experience in tech or travel is considered an advantage. Familiarity with CRM tools, especially Salesforce, is helpful. A genuine interest in Airbnb, travel, and the sharing economy is important, and experience as an Airbnb host is a plus.
Inclusion and Belonging
Airbnb says it welcomes applicants from the broadest possible talent pool and values diverse perspectives as a driver of innovation, engagement, and better products and services. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position in Germany is €71,000 to €84,000. Compensation may vary depending on training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market conditions. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
