Role Overview

The Golden State Warriors are seeking a driven and highly organized professional to help grow private event sales revenue through bookings at Chase Center and Thrive City. This position focuses on building strong relationships with strategic partners, uncovering new business opportunities through proactive outreach and networking, and supporting the wider private events team. The role reports to the Director of Private Events and is based in San Francisco on an onsite, full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver revenue targets for private events, including full-venue and Sky Bar bookings.
  • Meet sales expectations tied to both personal and department quotas.
  • Contribute to sales planning across multiple market segments such as conventions, associations, incentive travel, tours and travel, social events, local businesses, corporate clients, and suite owners.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed activity goals such as calls, meetings, and site visits.
  • Develop a strong understanding of competing venues and the selling advantages that differentiate this opportunity.
  • Create and maintain a focused prospect list made up of companies and organizations with strong event potential.
  • Build and manage databases of prospects and clients from internal and external sources, including convention contacts, planners, operators, concierges, nonprofits, fundraisers, DMCs, and more.
  • Nurture positive working relationships with local chambers, professional associations, hotels, and vendors.
  • Track event-related financial information accurately, follow internal procedures, and prepare estimates and proposals when needed.
  • Handle formal booking updates and internal communications, while keeping client records current in Salesforce.
  • Prepare event documentation for internal departments so operational teams have the details needed to deliver each event successfully.
  • Maintain post-event recaps and follow-up correspondence as required.
  • Support team events when necessary.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a sales position, ideally within special events or hospitality.
  • Exposure to event production and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce, LinkedIn Navigator, and Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to generate revenue and leverage an existing client network.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, along with strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to develop productive relationships with clients and colleagues across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfort working on several priorities at once in a fast-moving environment.

Work Schedule

This role may require work outside regular business hours when needed, including mornings, event days, weekends, and holidays, especially for event attendance.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base pay of $70,304 per year, plus bonus and commission, with on-target earnings of approximately $116,000.
