Role overview
This position is focused on running warehouse activities efficiently while keeping inventory accurate, administration organized, systems updated, and statutory obligations in order. The role also requires strict compliance with EHS requirements and internal policies so that day-to-day operations remain safe, controlled, and consistent.
Key responsibilities
- Receive production materials and containers each day, verify them physically, and record the inventory details in internal systems.
- Carry out scheduled stock audits and take prompt corrective steps whenever ageing stock or mismatches are found, following the defined process.
- Handle dispatch operations according to the daily dispatch plan, ensuring quantity and documentation accuracy as per MPN and updating internal records accordingly.
- Manage truck order linking and related tasks, validate sales orders, and monitor material and truck availability using SAP functions.
- Complete physical self-sealing for solid and liquid goods, track daily damage, remove affected items, and maintain records for preventive action.
- Prepare and maintain stock statements, daily stock status, digital signatures, and other documentation with no errors; identify gaps and prepare action plans in line with SOPs.
- Work with relevant teams to ensure warehouse equipment is maintained properly and resolve issues related to paperwork, incorrect reporting of containers or vehicles, shipments, STOs, and similar matters.
- Keep archival records complete and updated in a timely manner.
- Carry out SAP-related interfacing and maintain accounting entries in SAP/registers.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for rake movement of products based on business requirements.
- Ensure trucks are moved in and out smoothly so that product evacuation happens without delay.
- Apply warehouse SOPs, safe work methods, and operational checklists consistently; monitor and report unsafe acts or unsafe conditions involving contractor staff and truck drivers.
- Follow safety and emergency procedures during incidents, and support adherence to safety protocols, compliance checks, and audits.
- Meet all statutory requirements within due timelines and ensure timely renewal of licenses, certifications, and NOCs.
- Identify, report, and correct unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near misses.
- Maintain 5S standards in the office area and keep the warehouse loading area clean on a regular basis.
- Ensure LPR ZT requirements are followed by self and all stakeholders.
- Perform daily work in line with all applicable policies, procedures, SOPs, and instructions so that operations remain controlled and uniform.
- Stay updated on best practices and industry trends and contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and procedures.
Education required
- A diploma in engineering is required, preferably in Chemical or Petro-Chemical engineering.
- A bachelor's degree in any discipline is also preferred.
Experience required
- 3 to 7 years of experience in plant, warehouse, field, industry, or domain operations is required.
- Working knowledge of logistics, warehousing, transportation, and SAP is desirable.
- Familiarity with product labels, barcodes, RFID, scanners, and similar tools is preferred.
- The role calls for strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
- People management skills are important for this position.
- Good communication, teamwork, and leadership skills are needed.

Performance expectations
- Truck cycle time should be achieved as per target.
- The workplace must maintain zero incidents.
- Pre-load and post-load vehicle checks must be completed at 100%.
- Documentation errors should be zero.
- Weighbridge verification must be at 100%.
- Cycle time must align with AOP targets.
