Junior Business Analyst

Role overview

This is an opportunity for an early-career analyst to gain practical experience in a commercially focused role with direct business impact. You will join the Business Improvement team and support the commercial side of the organisation through data analysis, insights, and modelling.

What you'll do

• Assist in maintaining and enhancing the customer profitability model.
• Review revenue, cost, and volume inputs to understand business drivers.
• Examine performance movements and explain variances and trends.
• Partner with stakeholders to convert operational activity into meaningful data insights.
• Prepare recurring and one-off reports and analytical outputs.
• Help improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and automation.
• Support existing Excel-based tools while contributing to longer-term system improvements.

What we're looking for

• Solid Excel capability, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Exposure to Power Query and some experience with SQL.
• Strong attention to detail and a naturally analytical approach.
• Curiosity, willingness to ask questions, and confidence in challenging data.
• Ability to explain findings clearly to colleagues without technical backgrounds.
• Between 0 and 3 years of experience in an analyst or data-related role.
