IT Support Specialist (Remote, Entry-Level)

Role overview

APRH Madagascar is looking for a motivated, customer-oriented IT Support Specialist to join its remote support team on a full-time basis. This entry-level opportunity is well suited to someone who wants to start or develop a career in information technology while helping users resolve day-to-day technical problems.

What you will do

• Handle incoming support requests through phone, email, chat, and ticketing tools.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Assist users with account access, password recovery, and system setup or configuration.
• Support software installation, device onboarding, updates, and remote troubleshooting.
• Keep clear and accurate records of issues raised, actions taken, and resolutions provided.
• Work with other IT team members to hand off more complex problems when needed.
• Contribute to improving support workflows and overall user experience.

Skills and background preferred

The role calls for a basic grasp of computer hardware, operating systems, and common productivity tools. Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, remote support software, and essential networking concepts will be helpful. Good communication, a problem-solving approach, and a strong service mindset are important for success in this position. Prior exposure to customer service, help desk work, technical support, or IT-related coursework is helpful but not mandatory.
