Information Technology Infrastructure Specialist

Role overview

This position is for an IT Infrastructure Specialist/Engineer based in Doha, Qatar. The role centers on building, running, and supporting the company’s technology environment across Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and on-premises systems. The ideal candidate should have a solid grounding in IT infrastructure concepts and hands-on exposure to Azure, GCP, Active Directory, SQL, Exchange/O365, and storage platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Run and support cloud services, including compute instances, databases, and other platform-as-a-service offerings.
• Look after servers, operating systems, and virtualized environments on an ongoing basis.
• Set up and deploy servers in on-premises, Azure, and GCP environments, along with storage and related infrastructure components.
• Track system health and resolve issues to keep performance at an optimal level.
• Oversee and improve storage environments, both cloud-based and on-site.
• Handle basic networking tasks such as configuring switches, routers, and similar devices.
• Keep detailed documentation covering infrastructure settings, operating processes, and procedures.
• Prepare reports on system performance, usage, security, and other important metrics.
