Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and send internal communications that keep employees up to date on HR news and initiatives, such as monthly newsletters, monthly recognition awards, and policy updates.
  • Run induction sessions for office-based employees.
  • Coordinate training activities for both office and project teams, including liaison with external training providers.
  • Support the employee journey across induction, development, retention, and exit processes.
  • Help organise subsidies and funding opportunities through government, apprentice, and training bodies.
  • Assist with creating and rolling out people-and-culture initiatives across the business.
  • Oversee labour hire licence reporting requirements for the organisation.
  • Offer day-to-day HR advice and assistance to employees and managers.
  • Ensure company practices align with relevant employment laws, safety requirements, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Develop HR training materials and deliver sessions to build understanding of policies and compliance requirements.
  • Keep the QLeave register accurate and ensure all reporting obligations are completed on time.

Required experience and skills
