Housekeeper

Overview

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Housekeeper for a long-term care setting in Bluefield, West Virginia. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. What you will do

• Carry out routine housekeeping duties each day, including cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, shared spaces, and offices.
• Clean and sanitize assigned areas in line with established procedures and safety standards.
• Keep accurate records of cleaning activities and escalate maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor.
• Follow infection-control practices and universal precautions to support a sanitary environment.
• Interact in a courteous and professional manner with residents, coworkers, and guests, while delivering strong customer service.
• Handle other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
• Prior experience in housekeeping is helpful, though not mandatory.
• You should bring a positive attitude and be able to communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Applicants must comply with the organization’s COVID-19 vaccination policy.
• The role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and remain standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• You must be comfortable doing repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
• Work may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and related products.
• Ability to follow spoken and written instructions is necessary.
• Residency within the service area is required.
