As a Flight Dispatcher, you will play a key part in coordinating flight plans, crew support, and operational communication with flight crews and OCC controllers.
Key responsibilities
- Build accurate operational flight plans and briefing packs for Scoot services, following company procedures and taking into account aircraft performance, weather, NOTAMs, and other operational needs.
- Work out practical and efficient routes while considering operational factors and avoiding hazards such as tropical storms, volcanic activity, and similar risks.
- Submit flight plans to Air Traffic Services and keep them updated whenever changes are required under ATC rules.
- Track operational messages and respond promptly to requests linked to flight planning.
- Work with internal teams and outside stakeholders on flight and fuel planning matters.
- Assist pilots with flight-planning questions accurately and within required timelines.
- Apply working knowledge of fuel policy, operational policy, aircraft performance, aviation weather, route structures, and flight planning processes to support safe and effective outcomes.
- Handle other assigned duties, including tactical monitoring of flight-planning inputs, NOTAMs, the flight-planning system, and related projects.
Requirements
- A degree or diploma is required, ideally with a technical or engineering focus.
- Experience or qualifications related to aviation are beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical ability, solid numeracy, and practical problem-solving skills are needed.
- You should be comfortable working with operational and technical documents, procedures, and guidelines.
- You must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including both day and night duty, as well as weekends and public holidays.
Work context
This is an onsite, full-time role based in Singapore’s East Region. The position is part of a shift-based operational environment supporting airline flight planning and dispatch activities.
