Role Overview
As a Field Research Associate, you will gather and confirm on-site property and tenant information that supports CoStar’s core database. Your work will directly feed into the data used across CoStar Group products, helping ensure customers receive a reliable and detailed view of the market.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys independent fieldwork, values precision, and is comfortable spending much of the day travelling between locations to collect and verify information.
Key Duties
- Carry out field visits to collect and confirm detailed property and tenant information on site.
- Record building features, occupancy details, new tenants, and available space accurately.
- Check, update, and enter collected information promptly to preserve database quality.
- Provide verified intelligence that supports CoStar Group’s products and helps the team meet data goals.
Physical Demands
- Work may involve repeated standing, walking, and sitting in a vehicle for as long as 8 hours per day.
- You must be able to safely lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 3 kg.
- The role requires repeated use of hands and arms for tablet or laptop work.
- Occasional bending, twisting, lifting, and carrying may be needed to complete duties.
- You should be able to work and drive outdoors in all seasonal weather conditions.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and at least 2 years of professional experience is required; prior field experience is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, sound time management, solid organisation, and problem-solving ability are essential.
- You need excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to capture and enter data accurately.
- Comfort with Windows, Apple OS, and Microsoft Office is expected, along with the ability to learn commercial real estate terms quickly.
- You should be confident working independently, travelling extensively, navigating large areas, and operating in all weather conditions.
- A current, valid driver’s licence is mandatory, and you must pass a satisfactory driving record/abstract check.
