Job summary

This role focuses on lab-based validation of radio features for 4G and 5G technologies in Bellevue, Washington. Key responsibilities

• Carry out feature testing in a controlled lab setting rather than in the field, with primary attention on 4G/5G radio technologies.
• Work on MIMO and RAN-related validation activities.
• Bring in, set up, and verify new radio hardware and software capabilities within the lab.
• Draft, run, and record test cases, including Test Object Lists (TOL).
• Investigate technical problems, diagnose root causes, and help close issues through troubleshooting and RCA.
• Review Layer 1 to Layer 3 traces and use tools such as QXDM, QCAT, XCAP, XCAL, and Wireshark for analysis.
• Coordinate with internal development teams, customer units, and external customers as needed.
• Recreate customer-raised issues in the lab to support deeper analysis and resolution.
• Showcase new radio features and capabilities to customers and take part in proof-of-concept testing.
• Compile and deliver detailed test reports for customer sign-off and project records.
• Update configuration details on live production notes when required.
• Operate with limited documentation and take initiative with a self-directed working style.
• Support New Product Introduction initiatives involving BBU and radio products across multiple technologies and frequency bands.
• Contribute to automation efforts that improve test throughput and efficiency.
• Maintain effective communication with project managers, customers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience; 10 years is preferred.
• Strong background in telecom and RF.
• Deep knowledge of RAN systems and related technologies.
• Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
• Comfort working with minimal guidance or extensive onboarding.
• Detail-oriented mindset and strong troubleshooting capability.
• Experience with lab-based testing and technical documentation.
• Ability to analyze telecom traces and use the stated test tools.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional and customer-facing collaboration.
