Role overview
The Experienced Commercial Leadership Program (ECLP) is a mid-career leadership track at GE Aerospace built to prepare future commercial leaders. It is a structured three-year journey with three separate one-year rotations, supported by broad development opportunities, senior executive mentoring, and focused career coaching. The program is designed to help the business protect current performance, improve what comes next, and support future innovation.
What you need to qualify
Applicants are expected to hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Preferred fields include Finance, Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a STEM-related discipline.
Candidates should bring 6 to 9 years of total professional experience, ideally with exposure to the aerospace, defense, or power sectors.
Because the role supports business needs globally, willingness to travel up to 25% of the year is required.
Mobility is also important: selected candidates must be open to moving as needed during the program and again at graduation, depending on rotation assignments, post-program opportunities, and business requirements.
Before the start date, candidates must be able to localize to an in-person arrangement at the nearest commercial hub tied to their current residence. Eligible hubs include Cincinnati, London, Dubai, Shanghai, New Delhi, and Singapore. GE Aerospace may assist with temporary work authorization for this opportunity and also provide relocation support.
What success looks like
The ideal candidate will be someone who can learn quickly and use experience from commercial, technical, operational, or financial roles to create value fast. The role also calls for flexibility, strong judgment in uncertain situations, and the ability to handle a broad workload with good project management, time management, and communication skills.
Success in this program also depends on being able to work across a global, matrixed organization, remove barriers, and deliver results for customers while modeling the GE Aerospace behaviors of Respect for People, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Driven.
