Role overview

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to oversee engineering work for major capital construction projects in Qatar. This position suits a professional with deep experience in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering who can guide teams, coordinate complex project activities, and deliver outcomes that meet high technical and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

Direct engineering work across major construction and infrastructure assignments.
Bring together civil, structural, mechanical, and other relevant disciplines to keep project execution aligned.
Oversee planning, design evaluations, and the preparation and delivery of engineering outputs.
Make sure work stays on track with approved timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
Liaise regularly with project managers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Contribute to the design and construction of buildings in coastal locations.
Track engineering progress and address technical issues as they arise.
Ensure all work follows local regulations, project-specific requirements, and accepted industry practices.
Guide, coach, and support engineering staff in meeting project objectives.
Promote ongoing improvements in engineering methods and overall project delivery.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or a closely related field.
At least 15 years of experience after qualification in engineering and project execution.
Minimum 8 years working as a Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineer on major capital projects worth QR 100 million or more.
At least 10 years of experience in the Arabian Gulf region.
Strong background in designing and building structures in coastal environments.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple engineering disciplines on large-scale projects.
Prior experience delivering work in accordance with Qatar Energy standards.
Well-developed leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Qatar UPDA Grade A certification is strongly preferred.
