Driver Lead

Role Overview

Hertz is hiring a full-time Lead Driver in Calgary. In this position, you will help move Hertz vehicles while also carrying out vehicle preparation, inspection, and return-to-fleet tasks.

Key Duties

The role centers on supporting vehicle movement and handling a mix of fleet readiness and fleet return activities. You will also assist with system updates related to quality checks and body damage.

• Prepare vehicles for fleet use by applying stickers, completing pre-delivery inspections, removing protective plastic, torquing wheels, and installing Geo tabs.
• Handle vehicle return processing by removing Geo tabs, completing inspections, and supporting the turnback workflow.
• Enter quality control and body damage details into the system.

Compensation

The pay rate is $15.50 per hour, plus an additional $1.50 per hour for Lead Pay.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Candidates must be at least 20 years old.
• The schedule must be flexible, including availability on weekends and holidays if needed.
• Applicants must be able to pass a background screening.
• The job calls for the ability to manage several tasks in a busy, high-speed environment.
• A self-driven attitude and high energy are important.
• A strong attendance history is required.
• Good English reading and writing skills are necessary.

Education

High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
