Role Summary

As a Direct Support Professional, you will help individuals build independence, stay engaged in their communities, and work toward personal goals. The position involves hands-on caregiving, encouragement, and support for people with varying needs, including behavioral and complex support requirements.

What You Will Do

• Support people in daily activities that promote growth, learning, and overall well-being.
• Build genuine, supportive relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Work with the trust and flexibility given by supervisors to make sound decisions for participants.
• Encourage community participation and help with preferred activities.
• Assist participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, physical activity, and healthy eating.
• Provide personal hygiene assistance and support people who may experience behavioral challenges or more complex care needs.

What You Need

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• At least six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time management abilities.
• A patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible approach to work.
• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
