Role overview
The Digital Designer will report to the Digital Design Manager and own the creation, exploration, and final production of design concepts for PacSun.com. This role partners closely with teams across Marketing, Ecommerce, CRM, and Merchandising to deliver visual solutions that are aligned with the brand and technically sound.
What you will do
- Develop the overall visual direction for PacSun.com, including site updates, email creative, mobile app updates, banners, and other paid digital placements.
- Create engaging promotional assets with a solid grasp of visual hierarchy, typography, and graphics.
- Bring strong motion and digital animation capability to the work.
- Design for web and mobile while understanding the specific constraints and opportunities of digital platforms.
- Work with cross-functional partners to support marketing goals and meet deadlines.
- Apply strong design fundamentals and maintain brand standards consistently.
- Work with the manager regularly for direction and validation when needed.
- Review feedback carefully, incorporate revisions independently, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Keep up with current trends in digital design and visual communication.
- Contribute as a collaborative teammate by sharing knowledge, staying curious, and bringing fresh ideas.
Delivery expectations
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of web design.
- Follow the style guide, creative direction, and web asset delivery requirements.
- Partner with the Development team so approved designs are implemented correctly.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a closely related discipline is required.
- Formal education or training in graphic design, typography, digital design, or visual communications is expected.
- At least 5 years of experience in digital ecommerce design and production; in-house or digital studio experience is preferred.
- Ability to think conceptually and adapt existing brand systems for interactive environments.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma is required.
- Working knowledge of recent versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Strong communication and active listening skills, with the ability to turn feedback into visual solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and consistency.
- Comfort working both independently and within a team-oriented environment.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $75,920 to $82,512 per year.

Physical requirements
- Regularly needs to speak and listen during the workday.

Working schedule
This is a full-time role. As a national retailer, occasional evening or weekend work may be needed during busy periods. The position is based in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment regularly.
