Role overview
This is a remote Data Specialist opportunity based in Ireland, handled on behalf of a partner employer that oversees applications and the rest of the hiring process. The role sits in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment where you will take ownership of the full data stack across infrastructure, analytics, and reporting.
You will help turn raw data into dependable, decision-ready insights by building stable pipelines, shaping scalable dashboards, and protecting the accuracy of business-critical reporting. The position calls for a high level of autonomy, careful execution, and a proactive approach to spotting issues before they affect the business.
Your work will have direct influence on strategic choices and operational outcomes, and you will partner closely with engineering and business stakeholders to strengthen data systems, improve tracking, and raise the overall quality of analytics.
Key accountabilities
- Oversee and improve the full data pipeline and warehouse setup, using ETL platforms such as Stitch and Google BigQuery.
- Create, update, and support dashboards and reporting workflows in Looker Studio for business intelligence use across teams.
- Set up, monitor, and validate Google Analytics 4 tracking so event data and reporting remain accurate and consistent.
- Run thorough data checks and QA procedures to keep reporting outputs reliable, complete, and correct.
- Continuously watch data movement to catch anomalies early and fix problems before they influence decisions.
- Prepare tailored reports and analysis for different business functions as needed.
- Work with engineers and internal stakeholders to enhance data architecture, tracking design, and reporting frameworks.
- Keep documentation current and manage work in an organized way using tools such as Trello and Slack.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Data Specialist, or similar analytics role.
- Practical experience handling ETL pipelines and data warehousing, including tools like Stitch and Google BigQuery.
- Strong command of Looker Studio, especially for building dashboards and using advanced calculated metrics or reporting logic.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4 or similar analytics tools, including implementation, event tracking, and behavioral data interpretation.
- Demonstrated ability to validate datasets, test dashboards, and maintain high data accuracy end to end.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify trends, irregularities, and actionable insights from complex information.
- Experience producing custom reporting and insight work for cross-functional teams in a fast-moving setting.
- Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to work independently while staying structured in a remote environment.
- Clear and responsive communication skills suited to distributed teams and multiple time zones.
