Role overview
This is a full-time remote role for a Data Partnerships Lead, hired for a client. The position is centered on building and overseeing strategic data partnerships that strengthen product capabilities and support revenue growth through data monetization. It calls for strong experience in data strategy, supplier negotiations, and collaboration across engineering, product, and legal functions.
Key responsibilities
- Source, assess, and prioritize potential data partners that can broaden the platform’s data ecosystem and improve model quality.
- Lead discussions on data licensing terms and close agreements that support business goals while meeting compliance obligations.
- Work closely with engineering teams to connect external data sources with existing pipelines and platforms.
- Track the results of partnership initiatives and identify opportunities to improve performance or expand relationships.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance stakeholders to make sure all partnerships meet regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Required skills and qualifications
- Proven experience handling data licensing negotiations and partnership management in technology or AI-focused environments.
- Solid knowledge of data monetization approaches and the underlying data infrastructure.
- Ability to analyze data and evaluate the business value of partnership opportunities.
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives with engineering, product, and legal teams.
- Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and similar privacy regulations relevant to data-sharing arrangements.
