Role overview

Plaid is hiring a Customer Marketing Associate to handle the day-to-day execution of its customer marketing program. The role ensures the company has the right customer stories, supporting assets, and references available when needed, and that internal teams can depend on a well-organized, high-quality program.

This position sits within Growth Marketing and reports to the Customer & Partner Marketing Lead while working closely with the Customer Marketing Manager and multiple internal teams. Customer stories and asset management

  • Lead the full case study workflow from finding suitable customers to building the story, securing approvals, and distributing final assets to the teams that need them.
  • Keep the customer logo library and reference database accurate, organized, and properly permissioned.
  • Create reusable advocacy materials such as written stories, testimonial content, and video assets for use across campaigns, sales presentations, events, and paid initiatives.

Sales and account management support

  • Work closely with Sales and Account Management to track new business wins, customer milestones, and expansion opportunities that are worth highlighting.
  • Support late-stage sales efforts by providing relevant case studies, references, and peer validation at the right time.
  • Identify customers who may be ready for deeper advocacy based on expansion signals, NPS, and renewal timing.

Program support

  • Assist with major customer marketing initiatives such as the Customer Advisory Board, the Customer Reference Program, and customer events.
  • Partner with Demand Gen, Product Marketing, and Lifecycle teams to weave customer proof into campaigns, account-based marketing, and nurture flows.

Review sites and online presence

  • Manage Plaid’s presence on review platforms such as G2 and Capterra.
  • Increase review quantity and quality by identifying relevant customers and building a repeatable outreach process.
  • Track ratings and sentiment, then share emerging trends and insights with the broader customer marketing team.

Measurement and operations

  • Coordinate timelines, approvals, and dependencies across several stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Track program performance and prepare clear updates and insights that support reporting and optimization.
  • Identify which stories and formats create the strongest results and use those learnings to improve the program.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in B2B marketing, customer marketing, content marketing, or a related function.
  • Strong ability to manage projects and keep multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and workstreams moving smoothly.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to turn customer outcomes into persuasive narratives.
  • Experience collaborating with Sales, Account Management, or Customer Success teams.
  • A detail-focused, proactive, and ownership-oriented approach to work.
  • Comfort using data to assess performance and guide improvements.
  • Prior experience in B2B SaaS or fintech is preferred.
  • Experience working with review platforms such as G2 or Capterra.
