Overview
A fast-growing performance marketing agency is hiring a Creative Strategist to support its work with DTC and e-commerce brands. The agency focuses on performance-led creative and paid social campaigns, particularly across Meta and TikTok, to help clients achieve stronger growth. This position is based in Bristol with mostly hybrid working, requiring office presence around 1–2 days per month.
The successful candidate will take ownership of creative strategy across several client accounts, shaping concepts and messaging that improve campaign outcomes. The role involves close collaboration with media buyers, designers, and content teams to ensure that all creative work is built around performance goals and conversion.
Role responsibilities
The Creative Strategist will be expected to lead creative direction across multiple client brands, produce large numbers of campaign briefs, and turn performance data into actionable creative decisions. The position also includes writing copy, reviewing creative assets, and managing the creative process from initial idea through to launch.
Key duties
- Set and manage creative strategy across several DTC client accounts.
- Produce a high volume of creative briefs for paid social assets, including static, video, and UGC content.
- Research competitors, market movement, and best-practice examples across Meta and TikTok.
- Review campaign results to identify effective hooks, formats, and messaging angles.
- Write persuasive ad copy, headlines, hooks, and calls to action.
- Check creative output for quality, consistency with brand guidelines, and compliance with platform rules.
- Work with media buyers to keep creative aligned with campaign objectives.
- Oversee the full creative workflow from concept development to campaign launch.
Experience and requirements
The employer is looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in creative strategy, paid social, or performance marketing. Candidates should have a strong grasp of direct response marketing and conversion-focused creative, along with practical experience using Meta Ads and TikTok Ads. Excellent copywriting ability and a data-led approach are important, as is the ability to handle multiple clients and deadlines in an organised way.
Experience gained in either an agency setting or a DTC brand environment is highly preferred. Additional value will be given to candidates who have worked in performance marketing agencies, understand e-commerce growth tactics, have partnered closely with media buying and creative teams, and are familiar with testing and iteration frameworks.
Compensation and benefits
The salary for this role is £55,000 to £65,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include bonus or uncapped commission, 23 days of holiday, private healthcare, and pension contributions.
Working arrangement
This is a Bristol-based hybrid position. Office attendance is required only once or twice each month.
