Contact Centre Agent

About the Role

Terra Systems Pte Ltd is seeking a Contact Centre Agent through the Workforce Singapore (WSG) Mid-Career Pathways Programme (MCPP). This is a structured 4-month traineeship created to help mature mid-career candidates aged 40 and above gain the skills and practical exposure needed for a lasting career in contact centre operations.

If all training requirements and the MCPP attachment are completed successfully, the candidate will move into full-time permanent employment with Terra Systems.

Programme Details

Total MCPP duration: 4 months

Training allowance: S$2,100 per month

CPF: Not applicable during the training period

One-time sign-on bonus: S$500 after successful completion of the 4-month MCPP duration

Post-MCPP employment: Full-time permanent role, subject to satisfactory performance

Key Duties

• Provide customer support across multiple channels, including calls, email, live chat, and web forms.
• Stay calm and professional while handling urgent and high-pressure enquiries from the public.
• Record every interaction accurately in the call management system.
• Follow the client’s operating procedures closely, along with Official Secrets Act (OSA) obligations and data protection rules.
• Report for duty at least 15 minutes before the scheduled shift start.

Candidate Profile

• Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents aged 40 and above, as required for MCPP eligibility.
• Strong spoken communication skills and a composed manner when working under pressure.
• Careful and accurate in data entry and record-keeping.
• Prepared to sign the Official Secrets Act (OSA) declaration and follow all security and confidentiality conditions set by the client.
• Able to secure and maintain the required client security clearance; job continuation depends on approval.
• Previous experience in a contact centre or customer service role is helpful, but not mandatory.

After the MCPP

Once the 4-month traineeship is completed successfully and all performance standards are met, the candidate will be offered permanent full-time employment as a Contact Centre Agent. The subsequent role includes competitive pay, annual leave, medical and dental coverage, and opportunities for long-term growth within Terra Systems’ expanding contact centre operations.
