Role overview
A specialist accountancy and compliance services provider that supports independent contractors is growing its team and hiring a Client Success Manager. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys developing lasting client partnerships, working across multiple internal functions, and taking full responsibility for the customer journey.
In this role, you will serve as the main trusted contact for a dedicated client portfolio. Your focus will be on ensuring smooth support for their financial and administrative needs, while managing communication, deadlines, and internal coordination so that every client receives prompt, proactive, and high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Manage each client relationship from start to finish and remain the first point of contact for all questions and requests.
- Create strong, long-term client relationships through regular communication and forward-thinking support.
- Track important dates such as payroll, VAT submissions, and filings, and make sure all work is completed within deadline.
- Assess client activity and look for ways to improve or optimise their financial position.
- Work closely with internal teams including Accounts, Payroll, Tax, Compliance, and Operations to keep processes running smoothly and resolve any issues quickly.
Candidate profile
To be successful in this position, you should bring strong client-facing experience, excellent organisation, and confidence working with multiple stakeholders and deadlines. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset is essential, along with the ability to follow through on tasks and keep teams aligned.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a Customer Success Manager role or a similar client-facing position.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport easily.
- Strong organisational ability and comfort handling several deadlines at once.
- Confidence in coordinating across teams and following up until tasks are completed.
- A solution-oriented, proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
- Background in accounting, financial services, or professional services is helpful but not mandatory.
