Role overview
Avendra International is expanding its presence in Ireland and is looking for a Client Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and strengthen performance across its GPO function. Based in Cork and working from the office with travel across Ireland, this position is responsible for keeping operational activity running efficiently, maintaining accurate supplier and pricing processes, and ensuring a consistently high standard of client delivery.
The role involves close collaboration with Sales, Supply Chain, and senior leaders to improve ways of working, monitor audits, and deliver meaningful commercial improvements. It is a practical leadership position for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex workflows, guiding teams, and using data to inform better business decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Run the day-to-day GPO operations across Ireland and serve as the main contact for operational issues.
- Coordinate team priorities, workflow, and escalations to maintain service continuity and meet performance targets.
- Manage supplier onboarding, product approval steps, and the handling of pricing and system-related queries.
- Maintain strong pricing accuracy, reliable reporting, and on-time delivery of client outputs.
- Prepare and assess Purchasing Analysis Reports and contribute to client presentations and insights.
- Take ownership of the audit process by setting priorities, reviewing outputs, and improving commercial results.
- Work with Sales and Supply Chain teams to support supplier choice and ensure alignment with wider commercial goals.
- Monitor team output, supplier service levels, and operational constraints to support ongoing improvement.
Requirements
- Background in supply chain, procurement, or operations in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Prior experience leading people or managing a team.
- Solid understanding of supplier management, pricing structures, and end-to-end operational processes.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret data and improve performance.
- Confident in handling stakeholders across internal departments, clients, and suppliers.
- A full, clean, valid Irish driving licence.
- Full legal right to work in Ireland.
