The company’s main exploration priority is the Gordon Lake Project, situated about 80 km northeast of Yellowknife, NWT. Its portfolio also includes sites with prior operating history, such as the Camlaren and Burnt Island Mines, creating a mix of established assets and future growth potential.

Role Summary

This full-time remote Chief Operating Officer position is responsible for directing everyday operations and making sure exploration and development work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with business goals. The role involves guiding operational planning, overseeing execution across several locations, and working closely with geology, finance, and corporate functions to ensure alignment between field activity and company strategy.

Key Accountabilities

The COO will build and refine operating policies and procedures, track performance indicators, manage budgets and resource deployment, and improve workflows to support long-term growth. The position also partners with the executive team on strategy, risk oversight, compliance obligations, and stakeholder engagement, while helping maintain a collaborative and high-performing workplace culture.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings substantial experience in operations leadership, particularly across multi-site environments and process improvement. A strong background in business planning is needed to turn strategic priorities into practical operational plans. The role also requires financial acumen for budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and allocation of resources, along with strong analytical capability to evaluate performance data and guide decisions.

Experience in mining, natural resources, or a comparable sector is important, as is the ability to lead effectively in a distributed, remote setup. Familiarity with regulatory requirements, safety practices, and environmental standards in resource exploration is expected. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Geoscience, or a related discipline is required, and an MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is considered an advantage. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are also essential.
