Business Analyst

Role overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support enterprise digital transformation initiatives, with exposure to data and artificial intelligence programs. The role is based in Doha, Qatar and requires someone who can work closely with business and technology teams to shape requirements, guide delivery, and produce clear documentation for both operational and executive audiences.

What you should bring

• At least 3 years of business analysis experience, particularly on enterprise digital transformation, data, or AI initiatives.
• Prior experience working within agile squads as the BA partner to a Product Owner.
• The ability to turn complex business needs into precise functional specifications and high-quality user stories.
• Strong bilingual communication skills in Arabic and English for workshops, documentation, and leadership-level conversations.
• Solid stakeholder management skills across business, technical, and senior management groups.
• Preferred certifications include CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or an equivalent credential.
• Exposure to AI/ML, advanced analytics, or GenAI use cases is considered an advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business needs through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement, then convert them into functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, use cases, and requirements traceability matrices.
• Work with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the backlog so stories are properly structured, estimated, and ready for sprint planning.
• Facilitate requirement reviews and walkthroughs with business users, solution architects, developers, and QA teams.
• Conduct fit-gap assessments between business expectations and proposed solutions, and suggest process enhancements and digital solutions.
• Keep the requirements baseline current, handle change requests, assess impacts, and control versioning across the program lifecycle.
• Define and confirm acceptance criteria, assist with UAT planning, support defect resolution, and help secure release approval.
• Work with UX/UI designers to convert requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and user journey flows.
• Prepare senior-level documentation in both Arabic and English for clients and steering committees.
• Support pre-sales activities by contributing requirements inputs, capability statements, and proposal material.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and agile delivery practices.
• Practical knowledge of requirement-gathering techniques such as workshops, interviews, process modeling, prototyping, and story mapping.
• Working knowledge of tools including Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Lucidchart, draw.io, and the ability to review Figma files.
• Proven experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, RTMs, use cases, and detailed user stories.
• Experience with fit-gap analysis, use case reviews, and stakeholder requirement reviews.
• Familiarity with data platforms, dashboards, and AI use-case delivery environments is an added advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, workshop facilitation, and presentation skills in Arabic and English.

Nice-to-have

A professional certification such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or a similar qualification is preferred. Experience with AI/ML, advanced analytics, or generative AI initiatives will be helpful.
