About the Role
Dr. Martens is an iconic global brand with more than six decades of heritage, influence and cultural relevance. The company is powered by a diverse, values-led team that encourages individuality, bold thinking and bringing your authentic self to work. Its guiding principles are simple: Be Yourself, Act Courageously and Show You Care.
As a Designer within the creative and editorial team, you will work closely with colleagues across the business and report to the Head of Brand Design & Identity. What You Will Do
The Brand Designer is part of the Brand Creative Studio and helps create, refine and roll out the brand’s visual identity and design systems. Working alongside the Senior Brand Designer lead and the Head of Brand Design, you will contribute to core identity assets, extend the brand into new product and proposition areas, and help build modular systems for campaigns and content. You will also support global toolkit development so the brand can appear consistently and confidently across campaigns, channels and markets.
- Assist in evolving the brand identity through layouts, graphic elements, typography and visual systems.
- Help build and improve modular templates and components that can be used consistently across multiple channels.
- Contribute to brand and campaign toolkits by preparing layouts, examples, artwork and guidance for global and local teams.
- Apply brand identity across ecommerce, CRM, social, retail and presentation materials while maintaining clarity and consistency.
- Work collaboratively in the studio, keep standards high, pay close attention to detail, respond constructively to feedback, and support projects with research and inspiration.
What We’re Looking For
This role suits a designer with strong creative energy, curiosity and a willingness to contribute ideas early in the process. A solid grounding in graphic design is important, along with a genuine interest in brand identity, scalable visual systems and design that can work across many touchpoints.
- Creative curiosity and openness, with the confidence to bring references, ideas and inspiration to the table.
- Strong foundation in graphic design and an interest in building brand identity and visual systems.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with Figma and component-based design experience preferred.
- Understanding of how design systems and guidelines support consistency across channels, markets and customer touchpoints.
- Excellent attention to detail, a collaborative approach and the ability to manage deadlines, deliver on commitments and flag risks early.
