Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of internal audits in line with approved audit plans, professional standards, departmental requirements, and agreed timelines.
  • Review transactions, supporting records, reports, documents, and operating procedures, and compile audit work papers that capture and summarize relevant findings for each assignment.
  • Spot opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness while ensuring controls remain strong enough to protect company assets.
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the audit team by exchanging information, contributing ideas, responding constructively to feedback, and taking on additional tasks when needed.
  • Keep internal audit leadership informed in a timely manner about issues and concerns arising from audit work or general departmental operations.
  • Discuss audit observations, concerns, and results with process owners and management during fieldwork and at the close of the audit.
  • Contribute to the drafting of formal audit reports and help present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with management clients while clearly communicating issues, concerns, and suggested actions; also support other auditors in doing the same.
  • Carry out follow-up work to verify that management has implemented agreed action plans.
  • Stay up to date on regulatory obligations and professional auditing standards.
  • Take part in department-wide initiatives and projects led by the Vice President and/or Executive Director to help strengthen a world-class internal audit function.
  • Handle other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, or Auditing.
  • Experience with a Big Four public accounting firm is strongly preferred.
  • Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required; familiarity with audit tools such as Teammate or Pentana-Ideagen will be an advantage.
  • Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • High ethical standards, strong commitment, and the ability to adapt to complexity and change.
