This Assistant Support Worker opportunity is based in Slieverue, County Kilkenny, Ireland, with a frontline salary of 30,000 to 35,000.
What you’ll do
As part of the support team, you will help deliver person-centred care that enables people using the service to build independence, develop confidence, and live meaningful lives in their communities. The role is designed to be supported through training and development, with a focus on maintaining professional relationships and delivering high-quality care.
- Assist people in organising and managing day-to-day routines and activities.
- Support participation in community life and local activities.
- Help individuals work toward education, skill-building, and personal targets.
- Encourage independent living skills such as preparing meals, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and staying connected with family and friends.
- Follow company policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and relevant codes of practice.
- Work flexible shifts within a 24/7 service model across a 7-day roster.
- Carry out additional duties reasonably linked to the post when required.
