Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Townsville store in Mount Louisa by partnering with the Store Manager to run daily operations, guide the team, and help deliver strong store results. This role is suited to someone building toward retail leadership in a busy, energetic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day store activity and working toward sales goals and key performance measures.
- Encourage, coach, and support the team so they provide excellent service and perform at a high level.
- Contribute to visual presentation, stock control, and maintaining an organised, appealing store environment.
- Support roster planning and help manage labour or wage costs effectively.
- Mentor team members and help strengthen their skills and career growth.
- Help ensure the store remains safe and operates in line with required standards and compliance obligations.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an ambitious retail professional who enjoys fast-moving environments and is ready to take the next step in leadership.
- Background in a senior sales assistant, full-time retail, or leadership support position such as Key Holder, Supervisor, 3IC, or Assistant Store Manager.
- Self-driven approach and a genuine interest in developing leadership capability.
- Strong focus on coaching others and creating positive customer experiences.
- Ability to contribute to revenue growth and performance outcomes.
- Practical understanding of stock handling, merchandising, and general retail operations.
