About the Team
You will join the Seller Growth function, which owns the full seller journey on the platform — from bringing new sellers in and getting them activated to keeping them engaged and helping them scale. The team is focused on onboarding strong-quality sellers, improving their early performance, and building long-term growth on the marketplace.
The environment is quick-moving and expects a high level of ownership. The team combines disciplined problem-solving with fast execution to unlock supply growth at scale.
About the Role
Meesho is hiring an Assistant Manager for Performance Marketing to support the Seller Growth team. The role is centered on driving seller acquisition and activation through paid channels such as Google, Meta, and other emerging platforms.
You will be responsible for attracting quality sellers, improving activation outcomes, and working on lower customer acquisition cost and better payback timelines. The position calls for strong analytical thinking, an experimentation-first approach, and the ability to turn data into practical growth actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of seller acquisition efforts across paid marketing channels including Google, Meta, affiliates, and similar platforms.
- Generate high-quality seller sign-ups while keeping an eye on activation and long-term retention.
- Improve acquisition efficiency by managing cost per acquisition without compromising seller quality standards.
- Strengthen the full onboarding funnel, from signup and KYC completion to catalog upload and first order.
- Find bottlenecks in the onboarding flow and reduce drop-offs at each stage.
- Collaborate with product and lifecycle teams to improve conversion outcomes.
- Plan and execute structured experiments across audience groups, ad creatives, landing pages, and funnel changes.
- Explore new growth opportunities such as geographic expansion, category-specific acquisition, and vernacular targeting.
- Test, evaluate, and scale new channels, campaign types, and media strategies.
- Track and improve performance indicators such as CAC, activation rate, payback period, LTV/CAC, CVR, CTR, and CPM.
- Allocate budgets across channels to drive the strongest incremental seller growth.
- Monitor and address problems such as audience saturation, creative fatigue, and falling marginal returns.
- Study seller cohorts by category, location, quality, and lifecycle stage to identify meaningful patterns.
- Use seller behavior insights to sharpen targeting and messaging.
- Develop incrementality and attribution frameworks for seller acquisition efforts.
- Work closely with product, analytics, design, and category teams to align growth plans.
- Influence onboarding flows, landing pages, and communication strategies using performance insights.
What You Need
- At least 3 years of experience in performance marketing, ideally in consumer internet, e-commerce, or app-led businesses.
- Hands-on expertise with Meta Ads and Google Ads, plus a good understanding of incrementality measurement.
- Solid knowledge of performance and growth metrics such as CPM, CTR, CTI, hook rate, CAC, reach, frequency, and attribution models.
- Comfort using Excel or Google Sheets; exposure to SQL or analytics tools is an added advantage.
- Prior exposure to seller or partner acquisition funnels would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical ability with a structured, problem-solving approach and a bias toward action.
- Ability to perform with a high sense of ownership in a fast-paced setting.
- Growth-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for testing, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well across functions.
