Role overview
This position sits within the management accounts team and supports the finance function with projects that contribute to the organisation’s long-term direction. The post holder is expected to complete tasks within legal, procedural, and financial deadlines while helping produce accurate and timely financial information for monthly reports used by the Trust Board and NHS Executive.
The successful candidate will also be required to study toward a recognised accounting qualification alongside gaining practical workplace experience.
Key duties
- Process financial information in line with established procedures so statutory returns can be prepared accurately.
- Handle financial queries, offering guidance and support where needed.
- Ensure all work meets relevant financial, legal, and time-related requirements.
- Enter, review, and verify data as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to prepare reporting information.
- Work toward achieving a professional accounting qualification while building practical experience on the job.
- Carry out other suitable delegated tasks consistent with the grade.
