Role overview
As a KYC Analyst, you will support client onboarding and periodic review activities by gathering, validating, and enriching customer information in line with AML, OFAC, and local regulatory obligations such as US CIP. The role involves close coordination with Business Lines, Relationship Managers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure KYC records are complete, accurate, and compliant.
Key responsibilities
- Work with Business Lines and Relationship Managers to obtain any missing KYC details and other mandatory information required under AML, OFAC, and local rules.
- Check that information received from Business Lines and RMs is accurate, current, and properly updated.
- Carry out background checks on individuals and entities using screening and research tools such as LexisNexis, World-Check, Factiva, and internet-based sources.
- Perform customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence, then complete and enrich review files before sending them to the Quality Check team.
- Keep up to date with AML, OFAC, and local regulations, including US CIP, and apply them in line with internal policies and procedures.
Additional requirements
- Prepare and update the daily MIS report and share it for management review.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with Business Lines, Relationship Managers, and other stakeholders.
- Stay current on the latest policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including global minimum standards and client-location-specific local requirements.
- Draft emails to the compliance or sanctions team when needed, clearly summarizing any potential screening matches identified.
- Be comfortable working with all applications and tools used in the KYC process.
- Manage priorities against personal targets and route all extra ad hoc requests from the onshore team to the Cell Manager before acting on them.
