About the Role
Salesforce is hiring an experienced Accounting Manager to support business growth, operational excellence, and finance strategy from its EMEA finance hub in Dublin, Ireland. The position focuses on statutory reporting and local compliance for several European entities, working in a fast-moving environment with more than 30 entities under management.
The role calls for a proactive finance professional who can strengthen processes, support internal stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement through practical innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation of statutory financial statements for designated countries, using established procedures and systems to deliver accurate filings on schedule.
- Partner with controllership shared service teams handling US GAAP and local GAAP records, as well as country controllers based in individual markets.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across International Tax, Treasury, and Legal.
- Record and maintain formal technical accounting positions that support statutory financial statements.
- Work alongside external advisors and statutory auditors by preparing documentation and clarifications needed for compliant, audited financial statements.
- Prepare year-over-year statutory flux analyses for review with country controllers.
- Track regulatory updates in relevant countries so changes can be anticipated early.
- Assist country controllers with requests from business leaders, work councils, and authorities.
- Contribute to special projects such as process enhancements and systems rollouts.
Requirements
- A CPA or an equivalent professional qualification is required.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience is expected.
- Background in a fast-paced multinational setting, ideally with a publicly listed company or an audit firm.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Experience handling local compliance tasks such as statutory filings and VAT-related tax filings.
- Exposure to multi-ledger environments.
- Experience supporting SOX compliance programs or similar country-level controls.
- Familiarity with major ERP systems and connected applications/interfaces.
- Strong results orientation, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a demanding growth environment.
- Hands-on, decisive, and quick to respond.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities.
- Comfortable driving change and responding rapidly to varied requests.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required; another European language is an advantage.
