Wet Process Engineer

Role Summary

This position is for a Hardware Engineer focused on planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing systems and equipment used in advanced product development. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet performance targets and deliver reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to reduce cost, eliminate unnecessary waste, source alternatives, and improve methods through practical innovation.
• Lead investigations and continuous improvement efforts to fix recurring process and quality problems, and put lasting corrective actions in place.
• Maintain strict execution of work instructions and in-line controls, with active hands-on involvement in daily operations.
• Mentor, coach, and train engineers and technicians on process understanding, troubleshooting, and analytical methods so they can work independently.
• Take ownership of assigned work with a strong sense of accountability and teamwork.
• Handle non-conforming output through proper and effective resolution steps.
• Create, review, and regularly update FMEA, OCAP, process control plans, risk assessments, and SIPOC for critical processes to keep operations stable and robust.
• Follow CSR, EHS, QM, ESD, 5S, and cleanroom requirements at all times.

Education and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree is required in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in wafer process engineering and/or equipment maintenance is needed.
• Experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing within an MNC or semiconductor environment is expected.
• Hands-on background in wet processing, including wet etch, wet resist strip/lift-off (single wafer lift-off), and wafer cleaning.
• Working knowledge of wafer fab processes, equipment, and materials, along with the ability to apply that knowledge effectively.
• Comfort using Microsoft applications in day-to-day work.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong understanding of wet process operations and semiconductor wet equipment such as SSEC, lift-off, resist strip, wet etch, and high-pressure cleaning.
• Excellent organization, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving ability.
• Practical use of quality tools and SPC methods.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, resourceful, creative, and able to work independently.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to organize work, set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
