பணி விளக்கம்
Role overview
This is an opportunity to join Severn Trent’s Waste Customer Networks team, supporting the Staffordshire area from the Strongford base. The team looks after inspection, upkeep, improvement and repair work across the waste network.
In this role, you’ll focus on quickly resolving customer issues and delivering a high standard of service. Much of the work will be out in the community, tackling problems such as blocked sewers with specialist vacuum, jetting and blockage-clearing equipment.
The role follows a shift rota and includes evenings, weekends, and on-call/standby duties.
What you may do in this role
- Use CCTV drainage surveys to inspect systems, identify faults, and help decide the best fix.
- Work closely with the control centre, operations teams and maintenance colleagues.
- Carry out work in confined spaces and at height where required.
- Drive and operate vehicles in line with road transport rules and company procedures.
- Keep vehicles clean, tidy and roadworthy both inside and out.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who enjoys practical problem solving, takes pride in doing the job properly the first time, and pays close attention to detail. You should be self-driven, able to work well with others or independently, and have a strong work ethic.
Building good customer relationships is important in this role, along with being organised and having a genuine interest in solving problems.
We welcome people from all backgrounds and value individuality, as different experiences and perspectives help us serve communities better.
We want people who are ready to get involved, contribute to something larger than themselves, and help make a positive difference.
Rewards and benefits
- Annual salary of £29,629.60, plus shift allowance and weekend working allowance.
- 25 days of holiday, plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days each year.
- Annual bonus of up to £1,500, subject to company performance.
- Pension contributions are matched at double your contribution, up to 15% when you contribute 7.5%.
- Sharesave scheme giving the chance to buy Severn Trent Plc shares at a discounted rate.
- Access to dedicated training and development through the Academy.
- Electric vehicle scheme and retail offers.
- Family-friendly policies.
- Two volunteering days each year.
