Job Overview
We are looking for a meticulous Technical Writer to help create, update, and oversee documentation for enterprise technology initiatives and managed services settings. The role involves working alongside technical specialists, project teams, and business users to produce documentation that is clear, precise, and easy to use.
This position calls for strong communication, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to turn complex technical ideas into content that different audiences can quickly understand.
Key Responsibilities
The role includes producing and maintaining a wide range of documentation, such as technical manuals, user guides, SOPs, work instructions, operational guides, system documents, process flows, knowledge articles, and support materials. You will also be responsible for presenting technical information in a concise and accessible way for both technical and non-technical readers.
In addition, you will ensure that all documents follow the required templates, standards, and governance rules. Day-to-day work will involve collaborating with project managers, engineers, system administrators, developers, and business stakeholders to collect information, run interviews and information-gathering sessions, and coordinate reviews and sign-offs.
You will also manage version control and document repositories, keep documentation aligned with system updates and operational changes, carry out quality checks for accuracy and consistency, support audits and compliance activities where needed, and help maintain documentation libraries and knowledge bases. The role also contributes to knowledge transfer during project rollouts and operational handovers, as well as ongoing improvements to documentation processes and standards.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should hold a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Communications, or a related field, and have 2 to 5 years of experience in technical writing, documentation management, or knowledge management.
Experience in preparing technical documentation for IT infrastructure, software applications, systems integration, or managed services environments is required. Strong written and spoken communication skills are essential, along with the ability to simplify technical information into user-friendly content.
You should be comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint, Confluence, or similar documentation tools. Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple documentation tasks and deadlines are also important.
Preferred Skills
Experience with IT projects, system deployments, or managed services operations will be an advantage. Familiarity with ITIL and IT service management practices is also preferred, along with exposure to process mapping, workflow documentation, and business process documentation.
Knowledge of document control and version management is useful, and experience documenting cloud, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, or enterprise application environments would be an added plus.
Application Instructions
Applicants are asked to share a detailed resume in MS Word format and include the following information: education level, working experience, each employment history, reason for leaving each job, last drawn salary, expected salary, and date of availability.
